Cornwall’s premier literary festival will once again feature a diverse range of authors, speakers, musicians, and artists including John Dyer who will be in conversation with Kate Dinn, the author of Painting the Colours of the World, the spectacular and colourful new book about the artist’s life and work.
Since 1997 the Festival has brought countless internationally renowned writers, performers and entertainers to Cornwall, creating a buzz of excitement in the town and attracting festival-goers from across the UK and overseas. Organised by the du Maurier Festival Society, it is staged in the beautiful riverside town of Fowey, which was home to Daphne du Maurier and Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch and also associated with Wind in the Willows author Kenneth Grahame.
A highlight of the regional calendar and one of the most significant festivals in the UK, promises an equally impressive line-up of literary and musical talent at a wide range of choice locations in and around one of Cornwall’s most scenic riverside settings
John will be in conversation with Kate Dinn, the author of John Dyer - Painting the Colours of the World, the spectacular and colourful new book about the artist’s life and work. The artist and author will be discussing key moments in John’s life and career, his celebrated paintings of Cornwall, his art residencies with Alan Titchmarsh and Kim Wilde, as well as his global adventures painting environmental subjects and his brand new project Last Chance to Paint that will see the artist painting all around the world in collaboration with Survival International and the Born Free Foundation.
