This unusually long, hot and sunny summer has taken us swimming, camping, painting and picnicking across Cornwall. We have followed the coast from Falmouth and St Mawes to Mousehole, Polly Joke, Crantock, Daymer Bay, Cadgwith and the Minack Theatre, gathering ideas from beaches, gardens, harbours, festivals and days spent beside the sea.

The resulting paintings form a colourful visual diary of our adventures. John’s energetic acrylic paintings are filled with swimmers, boats, ferries, birds, dogs and people enjoying the Cornish coast, while Joanne’s oil paintings celebrate flower-filled gardens, coastal views, Cornish cottages and interiors alive with colour.
