Ted Dyer (born 1940)

Ted Dyer was born in Bristol, but he has called Cornwall his home for most of his life. He spent his younger years in Devon and Somerset before moving to Cornwall with his family back in 1972. Since he was a young boy, Ted Dyer has loved to paint and draw. After moving to Cornwall, he decided to make painting his full-time career and passion. Ted likes to focus on capturing Cornwall's unique quality of light in his paintings, which gives them all a distinct feeling. His paintings are based on locations that he is familiar with and loves. His artwork reflects the tranquillity of the coast, be it boats resting in a harbour or simply people enjoying a day out in the landscape. His exquisite and unique use of paint and colour has made artist Ted Dyer Cornwall's leading and most collected figurative artist.
