John Dyer Painting. Rainforest Banana Bonanza, Costa Rica

The banana harvest in Costa Rica made a wonderful subject for artist John Dyer. Working near the border with Panama, John painted this stunning painting surrounded by the Costa Rican wildlife and rainforest. Green bananas are harvested by machete and carried off in baskets for the market. Tropical birds and insects add to the narrative and atmosphere.
