Sargent's career spanned several decades, during which he received numerous prestigious commissions from prominent figures in society, including royalty, business magnates, and fellow artists. In his later years, Sargent shifted his focus away from portraiture, dedicating more time to murals and large-scale works, such as those commissioned for the Boston Public Library and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. These works showcased his versatility and grand vision, further solidifying his legacy as a master artist.
