Cornwall is the most fantastic county in the UK, well as far as we are concerned, as its geographical dimensions allow you to travel from the rugged, windswept wide sandy beaches and cliffs of the North Coast of Cornwall to the sheltered coast and sub-tropical feel of the South Coast of Cornwall in just 7.7 miles between St Ives and Penzance. In between, there are moorlands, ancient standing stones, stunning vistas and the evocative remains of the once mighty tin mining industry. Cornwall has it all, and it has not gone unnoticed by the many artists who have frequented Cornwall for the past 200 years.
John Dyer is a painter whose work celebrates the natural world in all its glory. His paintings of Cornwall are particularly loved for their fun, colourful and uplifting vibrancy. From the rugged coast to the colourful vegetation and gorgeous beaches, John's paintings reflect his love of nature and his passion for capturing its beauty on canvas. In this blog post, we'll take a look at John's life and work, as well as some of his most stunning paintings ofFrance, Italy,Australia and beyond.
John Dyer recently had the fantastic opportunity to teach over 4000 children about rainforests and painting from the Eden Project's rainforest itself! He did this by using Switcher Studio and Zoom to broadcast a live lesson from the rainforest. The children were from schools all around the world. John's art lesson was designed to teach kids about rainforests and why they are important for our planet.
