A stunning oil painting of the town of Menton in the south of France. Joanne lived in Menton for three years.This is one of her key paintings from that period. The wonderful warm colours of the buildings in the old town complement the purple mountains behind. Elegant date palms reach for the sky. The foreground is a wonderfully painted collection of blue agapanthus flowers.
