Magazine Art Blog from Cornwall

Cornish seascape paintings and prints are some of the most beautiful and sought-after art in the world. There is something about the rugged coastline and rolling seas that inspires artists to capture its beauty on canvas. In this blog post, we will take a walk with artist Joanne Short around the stunning South West Cornish Footpath from Gunwalloe to the Lizard. We will explore the different coastal scenes that she encountered on her journey, and learn more about her inspiration for creating these beautiful pieces of art.
In this blog post, we will take a look at the work of three landscape painters, John DyerJoanne Short and Ted Dyer, who have all captured the beauty of the landscape in their paintings. Each artist has a unique style, but they all share a love for capturing the essence of Cornwall in their work. We will also discuss the inspiration behind these beautiful works of art.

Both the UK and France are a wonder of the natural world and a landscape painter's dream, and both have played a big part in these three artists paintings. With its rugged coastline, sheltered coves and stunning gardens, Cornwall provides plenty of inspiration for artists, as does France, with its changing light and colourful landscape.

Tresco Abbey Gardens is one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world. Situated on the island of Tresco - part of the group of islands off the tip of Cornwall called the Isles of Scilly, the gardens are full of tropical plants and flowers, towering palms, magnificent proteas, agave, and many, many other exotic plants that create the perfect painter's paradise.
Cornwall is known for its dramatic coastline, with its rolling beaches and steep cliffs. In this new set of open edition prints by Ted Dyer, you can explore the seaside scenes of Cornwall in all their glory. From small sailing boats to children playing on the beach, these prints are a celebration of Cornwall's natural beauty. They are also a great way to bring a piece of Cornwall into your home! This amazing collection of Cornwall art prints is exclusive to The John Dyer Gallery.
