During April and May John has be joined by a film crew from ITV who have filmed him paintingin the garden at Antony House, and The Tresco Abbey Gardens. The footage will form part of a new series exploring artists and gardens which is due to be screened in October 2005. The film crew also filmed John's wife Joanne Short and daughter Martha-Lilly Dyer painting in Tresco Abbey Gardens.
Falmouth Art Gallery worked in partnership with Falmouth Youth Club, Swamp Circus and leading Falmouth artists John Dyer and Jo Short to create an exciting float for the Falmouth Carnival. The theme was ‘Falmouth Youth Club visits Falmouth Art Gallery’.
John's latest exhibition on the island of Tresco has been a huge success. The gallery had kept it secret from John that virtually the entire catalogue had pre-sold prior to the private view.
John Dyer was invited by Porthleven School to open their new mural based on his work. The children have spent many weeks planning and painting the mural which forms the focal point for their courtyard garden area.
Peter Hampel the art director of Eden and John Dyer, Eden's 'Painter in Residence' worked together to facilitate John painting a new 'iconic' painting of this huge event. Signed prints available now from The John Dyer Gallery.
John Dyer’s painting of Glendurgan has been purchased by the National Trust to be hung on permanent display at Glendurgan Gardens. Both the trust and the artist John Dyer are delighted. You will be able to see the painting at the visitors entrance to the gardens from mid April 2005.
John's paintings of banana farming in Costa Rica are to be used as part of a new exhibit by the International Network for the improvement of Banana and Plantain. The exhibit will be shown at the Eden Project next summer ,2006, but the inauguration at the Central Library of Leuven in Belgium is on 18 October at 14h00. After Belgium the exhibit will move to the Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens until the end of the Science Festival.

Rice is Life, is an exhibition hosted online by The John Dyer Gallery. The exhibition was hosted during September 2004 by the Eden Project in Cornwall.
During April 2004 John Dyer was resident artist at the International Rice Research Institute at Los Banos in the Philippines.
The Auction Gala will be on the 23rd of October held at the Lighthouse Hotel (Jetwing Hotels) in Galle, Sri Lanka. It will include the painting by John Dyer shown above and all proceeds will go towards supporting the vital work that RRI is involved with.
