In 2018 the British Museum in London approached The John Dyer Gallery to explore licensing a range of Joanne Short paintings for a set of gifts for the British Museum Shop. Inspired by Joanne's hugely popular vintage style art posters and in particular her London art posters which formed a new range of art cards which went on sale across London during 2018.
"The London poster range by established colourist painter, Joanne Short, is reminiscent of vintage Railway posters, her art lends itself to the iconic buildings and landscapes of London and her use of line and colour perfectly captures the vibrancy and beauty of the city."
The British Museum
The British Museum identified a series of Joanne's new London paintings that they decided to work with and they have now beautifully applied them to a range of gift items, which are exclusively available for sale at The British Museum and on their online shop.
The British Museum is the UK's most popular tourist attraction with over 6.5 million people visiting each year, so it is an absolute honour for artist Joanne Short to be selected by the museum to be their official artist for this new artist designed range of gift items.
The following Joanne Short designed items, featuring her art, were published and sold by the British Museum.

Shopping Bag - double sided
