John Dyer Painting. Jungle Bananas, Costa Rica

Small holder banana cultivation takes place on the edge of the rainforest of Costa Rica. The towering banana plants catch the strong tropical light and create deep patches of shade. Tropical birds, butterflies and insects can be seen and hummingbirds look for nectar. The green bananas are cut by the farmers. A remarkably strong and dynamic painting of this important crop by artist John Dyer.
