French children paint with British artists

Artists Joanne Short and John Dyer were asked by a main primary school in Menton, France to join the children and teachers on the Îles de Lérins, an island off the coast of Cannes, to inspire the children to paint and participate in a large collaborative major canvas.

The Conservatoire of Dance and Music in Menton, South of France, asked Galerie Monaco and artist John Dyer if they would allow some of the paintings from the “Singing and Zinging” exhibition to be used for the Ballet Spectacular in the Palais de l’Europe theatre.

The ‘KC Green’ Team of Children and staff at King Charles Primary School in Falmouth, Cornwall have asked artist John Dyer if he would produce a design for them for their new eco-bag.

Artists Joanne Short and John Dyer held a ‘Vernissage’ private view event in central Monaco to launch their latest exhibition of paintings and the new online gallery ‘Galerie Monaco’.

In an interview with artcornwall.org the director of Falmouth Art Gallery, Brian Stewart, names artist John Dyer as one of the areas most interesting and significant artists.

Carolyn Hanbury of the world famous Hanbury Gardens in La Mortola Italy has asked artist Joanne Short to paint her own private garden which is not open to the public but is set alongside the Hanbury Gardens.

Elizabeth Robertson of The Robertson Collection art card company has licensed several paintings from artist John Dyer for the new range of blank art cards from the company.

Spring comes early at the Hanbury Gardens in Italy. The garden rejuvenates in the spring ready for the long hot summer, and the garden is full of colour and life.

Menton is still one of the Côte d’Azur’s undiscovered treats. 

The Italians have found it - and they head to the town  at every opportunity in preference to their own coast.
