The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro Cornwall has selected art from John Dyer and Joanne Short for their permanent collection.
The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, Cornwall is hosting an exhibition of signed prints by artists John Dyer and Joanne Short.
Using Falmouth's important collection this exhibition examines the artists' relationship with the frame from the early 18th century, through to the modern day. Included are Sven Berlin, Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, Thomas Gainsborough, John Dyer, Kurt Jackson, Dame Laura Knight, Sir Alfred Munnings, Ben Nicholson, John Singer Sargent and John William Waterhouse.
Some of the children at Ernesettle School in Plymouth have been studying the paintings of artist John Dyer.

A COMPETITION open to all schoolchildren in Falmouth to design an 'oyster man' was launched on Friday.
The winning creation will lead the schools' grand parade during the Falmouth Oyster Festival in October. Students have until June 24 to come up with their designs.
The light yesterday in Marazion was really magical. It was a warm day with soft hazy sun. It really felt like summer. The car parks were full and I treated myself to chips while we played on the beach and in the fantastic public playpark.
I am back on my art safari today. Painting in the land rover in a field above Penzance. The sun is interspersed with mist but this creates a brilliance to the light when the mist lifts. Warm, gentle breeze. Flocks of birds and lots of daffodils too.
