Ted Dyer Oil Paintings

Buy Paintings by Cornish Artist Ted Dyer

Cornish artist Ted Dyer is almost certainly Cornwall's most widely collected contemporary artist. His acclaimed impressionistic oil paintings of Cornwall have been exhibited in Cornwall and London for over fifty-five years. Now in his eighties, the artist is painting some of his finest-ever pieces of work from his studio in Falmouth, Cornwall.

The John Dyer Gallery exclusively exhibits the original paintings by Ted Dyer online, by private appointment at our Edwardian property in Falmouth, Cornwall, and by special invitation-only exhibition events.

Full artist Information on Ted Dyer

Ted Dyer's work is admired worldwide and has been widely published in the form of limited-edition prints and art cards. He is the Cornish impressionist that many people will be glad they have added to their collections. His paintings from 1990 to today are seen as some of Cornwall's finest examples of landscape and seascape painting.

There will often be narrative content to a Ted Dyer painting, and the artist has used his own family as inspiration for this. From a very early age, his children would be used as models in the landscape to help the artist to create a real sense of Cornish magic and light, a sense of family and place.

Ted Dyer's work hangs in the permanent collection of Falmouth Art Gallery and in many important private collections.
