Year 6 pupils from St. John the Baptist School in Camborne start a major John Dyer Project
Year six children from Camborne in Cornwall travelled to Falmouth today to meet artist John Dyer.
The artist met the children at the award winning Falmouth Art Gallery. Staff from the gallery welcomed the children and their teachers and showed them the original John Dyer paintings that are held in the public collection.

The artist also exhibited a painting from the Queen's Golden Jubilee which features the coast and the colourful boats in Falmouth Harbour, as the children intend to work on a John Dyer coastal theme for several weeks.
John Dyer spoke to the children and took many questions over the course of the morning before the children watched a DVD about the artist and then set about making their own paintings using watercolour.
