Artist John Dyer currently has a major retrospective exhibition on display at Falmouth Art Gallery in Cornwall. The exhibition brings together his paintings from the 1980s to 2018 in a spectacular way.
The art gallery are encouraging as many schools as possible to bring their classes to the exhibition as the work of John Dyer is recognised as inspirational and creatively enhancing for so many children. Schools all over the UK and abroad study the artist's work.
Recently the artist bumped into the 'Seal' class from Flushing primary school and joined in their workshop. The children worked in groups creating collages of elements they had drawn from elements in John Dyer's paintings.
"We had a great time visiting the Falmouth Art Gallery and meeting John Dyer at his retrospective exhibition! Here are a few photos from our trip. We are currently planning our own painting inspired by our trip."
"Thank you very much for a wonderful experience. The Seal Class."
The education and learning team from Falmouth Art Gallery led the workshop and the artist happily spoke to the children and answered their questions during this.
