This Cornwall painting is a piece of original art painted with oil on canvas by Cornish artist Ted Dyer.
A stunning original oil painting of St Mawes in Cornwall by artist Ted Dyer. Rich colours and a wonderfully painted sea draw our eye along St Mawes and to the fishing boat coming into the harbour. The colourful houses on the harbour wall catch the Cornish light. You can almost hear the sea in this delightful oil. It is a real taste of Cornwall.
Ted Dyer has captured St Mawes beautifully in this oil painting. It is painted from the road leading to St Mawes Castle and looks across to the Roseland Peninsula. The sky has a soft pinkness in it which is reflected in the fields and trees that are seen across the water. There is a fishing boat making its way back to the moorings which adds great movement to the scene. The sea is sweeping in towards the high wall on the left hand side with the colourful painted cottages making an interesting addition to the painting. In the foreground there are the branches from a shrub with pink flowers that frame the image and lead your eye towards all that lies beyond.
