Artist John Dyer has been commissioned by the owners of Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park, Patrick and Margaret Langmaid, to paint an iconic image of this award winning location.
The painting is in the permanent collection of the park and images of the painting will be used on site on a range of art items including placemats, coasters and glass chopping boards that will be in the static caravans.
Licensing art is a fantastic way to get the best of Cornish art into retail, hospitality and residential settings and The John Dyer Gallery have been involved in licensing art for over thirty years.
"Having grown up on the North Coast of Cornwall I can really connect to the landscape and coast of Mother Ivey's Bay. The unspoilt beach and native plants that grow on the cliffs are a haven for both wildlife, holiday makers and artists too!
I visited the site with my family, my wife Joanne Short and my two daughters, Martha-Lilly and Wilamena. We had a great time exploring the cliffs and the beach. It is this direct connection to a place that allows me to paint with such passion and honesty. I am painting my story , the story of my day out and what captured my eye and imagination.
In my painting 'Family Fun, Mother Ivey's Bay' I hope you will find all of the elements that make this part of the world such a special place."
