Alfred Wallis Framed Open Edition Cornish Art Print. 'Against Longships, Fog'. St Ives Cornwall Art Gallery Historic Art

Size: 8"x6"
Frame Style: Black Frame

This is a museum-quality framed and mounted open edition fine art print that features the famous 'Against Longships, Fog' painting by Cornish artist Alfred Wallis.

Alfred Wallis is one of the most celebrated artists to come out of Cornwall. His paintings are known for their unique perspective and beautiful simplicity. Against Longships, Fog is one of his most iconic works. Painted on an irregular-shaped piece of card, it depicts two steamers and a sailing vessel negotiating the treacherous Longships Rocks off the coast of Lands End, Cornwall. Wallis painted the image using a limited palette of black, grey and white. The result is a stunning and original work of art that would make a beautiful addition to any home.

This beautiful print is produced on high-quality watercolour paper, using archival inks, making it a lasting addition to your home. The print will last for over 100 years in perfect conditions and the painting that features has been digitally restored by our gallery experts creating the very highest quality reproduction available of this historic painting. During the restoration, none of the ageing or character of the painting and brushwork is removed but the colours and detail are brought back to life.
