200 Carwinion Cream Teas and an Exhibition by John Dyer & Joanne Short

Over 170 guests applied online for tickets to attend the opening of the The John Dyer Gallery Summer Exhibition.

The gallery worked with Carwinion House at Mawnan Smith near Falmouth in Cornwall to stage this exciting exhibition of contemporary paintings by artists John Dyer and Joanne Short.

Brian and Carole Stewart of Falmouth Art Gallery assisted with the hanging and running the exhibition event.

Jane, from Carwinion, spent the week before busily preparing the food.  Our guests managed to demolish all of the amazing cakes and the 200 prepared clotted cream and jam scones that we presented with the paintings in the manor house.

“It was a fabulous atmosphere, the sun shone and our guests enjoyed our new paintings while drinking sparkling pink wine and eating the famous Carwinion Cream scones and homemade cakes.” Joanne Short

Nineteen original paintings sold at the event and many items from our increasingly popular and collectable Art Range.

“It was great to see people with scotty dog bags on their shoulders, paintings tucked under their arms and jam on their faces !” John Dyer

The exhibition continues until the end of the day on Thursday 22nd July.
