The delightful Jardin des Antipodes in Menton on the Côte d'Azur in France are the subject of the painting that features on this stunning limited edition print from artist John Dyer.
The artist has framed the view of the old town of Menton with orange and lemon trees. An owl and eagle swoop down from the sheer cliffs that protect Menton and that create the unique climate to grow avocados, citrus, banana and plantain, cactus and so much more.
This wonderful nocturne print captures the garden at night with a family of wild boar exploring the terraces and badgers rummaging through the lavender. The harvest is underway with gardeners working under the twinkling star studded sky collecting the fruits. Donkeys complete the story and drink from the pool that is fed from the water source that winds its way into the garden from Italy. Absolutely delightful and a perfect image of Menton.
