We set off on a glorious summer's day - something we have all been waiting to arrive for some time! The sky was blue, and the sea was calm. On a sunny day in spring, there is no better place to be than walking along the Cornish coast. The wildflowers are at their absolute best - poppies, blankets of sea thrift clinging onto the cliffs, daisies, sorrel and birdsfoot trefoil (or egg and bacon flowers) - what a beautiful sight.

After a steep start, the path levelled out, and we walked along the top of some stunning cliffs looking down at the turquoise sea below. Around every bend in the path was a canvas to be painted!
The movement of the sea against the rocks and the beauty of the soft light reflecting on the sea was a wonder to behold, especially when we were lucky enough to spot groups of seals on tiny beaches beneath the cliffs. It is no wonder seascape paintings are so popular.
One of the most impressive and exciting parts of the walk had to be when we popped our heads over the headland at the end of the walk, to see the vast beach of Gwithian and Godrevy lighthouse watching over the bay.
