Celestial skies, Cornish history and magical places all combine in this spectacular new set of work that is based around Penwith in Cornwall. This special series of nocturne paintings sparkle with light, with gold and silver leaf applied directly to the surface of the paintings. John captures the essence of the Cornish landscape with seagulls and choughs flying beneath star-spangled skies over tin mines, lighthouses, villages and stone circles.

Summer flowers and spectacular locations have inspired this latest collection of beautiful oil paintings of Cornwall and Somerset. The artist has captured the stunning power and spectacle of sunflowers overlooking Holywell Bay, the sense of space and movement in the sea at Botallack and the jewel-like colours of the coast at Falmouth and Mother Ivey’s Bay, as well as the stunning beauty of the tiny city of Wells. Joanne’s unique way of painting brings to us a new way of seeing and connecting to the places we love.
