Falmouth Lifeboat station is celebrating its 150th year this year and to help to celebrate and raise funds a limited edition CD of music has been released featuring the art of John Dyer on the cover.
"Today see's the start of the fantastic Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. On sale throughout the weekend, at all the Marquee venues, will be the "Home from the Sea" Limited Edition EP, produced to celebrate Falmouth Lifeboat Station 150th year. John Dyer kindly provided the amazing artwork and local musicians joined me, and singers from various RNLI stations around Cornwall, on the title track, written by Phil Coulter. Included on the EP are tracks from local Falmouth Cornwall UK groups, The Oggymen and Femmes de la Mer. Many thanks to all who gave up their time and resources to make this happen. especially Falmouth University. Copies will be sold for £5, and can also be picked up at the Lifeboat station, with all profits going to RNLI #falmouthlifeboat150" Will Keating. Musician.
"I was absolutely delighted to be asked to help with this project. My painting 'Happy and Glorious, Falmouth' which is available as a limited edition print features the Falmouth lifeboat, so it was the perfect image to allow to be used on this charity CD." John Dyer.
