Joanne Short

Provençal Flowers. Berries with Fish Vase. Provence, France. Original Painting by Joanne Short

The backdrop of the black olive Provençal tablecloth in oranges and olive greens sets the scene for this french still life by artist Joanne Short. Painted on her residency in Rasteau Joanne picked wild berries and grasses to place in the vase. The harmonious hues and soft earth colours of the background bring a real feel of Provence, the light and heat.
