The BBC asked John Dyer if he would consider donating an original painting to support 'Children In Need' 2005.

'I am delighted to be able to support this wonderful charity. The painting 'Blue Sky, Tresco' is of one of my favourite places and a place that my family feels relaxed, happy and safe in. Children In Need raises awareness and money to support children that sometimes miss out on those qualities in life and I hope that the auction of this original painting will help in some way to support children in need.'

After much bidding on BBC Spotlight the painting sold for £1505
